What is perhaps the most remarkable thing about this particular shot is the amount of detail and expression that was captured in such a simple pose. Everything--down to the contrasting colors on the kimono, the elaborate design on the kimono, the carefully place hair decorations, the makeup--all help bring that awe-inspiring light onto the model.

The only thing that I can remark on that could need improvement is the lack of boldness. Everything about this picture shows an intrinsic richness, but because the overall toning are so light, that bold flare that comes when you push the darks tones in both the foreground and background is lost. This photo will make heads turn without a doubt, but I think that if had pushed the dark tones just a bit more, it would have sent a stronger message to your viewers.

Regardless, this piece of work is remarkable--but then I expect nothing less coming from you! =)

Well, this is quite remarkable to begin with! The overall color palette works beautifully and gives off the sense of serenity and the autumn feeling, both eloquently framed by the girl's expression and stance. Likewise, all the rest of the little details in the make-up, accessories and kimono give off a dreamy and aristocratic attribute to the piece that resonates strongly the era and theme you are striving for.
The only thing that I think could have worked more potently is maybe a less saturated bgr, or at least a bigger difference in tone value between fore and back-ground; since all the colors are closely related in both fore and back-ground, this seems to make the picture somewhat essentially devoid of depth.
(I would love a close up on the girl's face and part of the umbrella from this photo-shoot btw.)
Other than that though, I really think it's another exquisite example of your work. And I also hope this helps some. Well done! ^^
