Motherland Chronicles: Crow

Interesting. Very interesting. As with some of your previous pieces, this take of what I assume is a Crow is quite powerful. The shot takes advantage of the model's facial structure and intensity; it sort of reminds me of Charlize Theron in "Snow White & The Huntsman". Furthermore, such angle gives a sense of devious suspicion to those who want to see her; overall a dark and intense piece.

Now for some critiques, in which I will comment on the model's face: from what I can see, she seems to have this odd saturation on her nose and her forehead -- not sure what that is, but it seems a bit distraction to the dark tone of the piece.

Moreover, although I love the focus of the face from the contrast, the costume seems lost in the photograph. Perhaps some light to reveal the details of the feathering or the whole gown itself.

Also, notice how the intense darkness flattens her, other than her head, which makes it pretty much makes the model look beheaded. I feel that some dimension will improve the photograph a bit more.

Overall, an interesting piece. Is it the best? Personally, I do not think so, as per my critique. But ultimately, a good photograph. Keep going Zemotion!
