For the Motherland Chronicles project! (Follow us on Facebook and Tumblr!)
No idea about what to title again, please totally feel free to make suggestions. ._. Managed to weave some pearls into Germaine's hair for this shoot, rather happy with how it turned out.
I feel terrible that we're so behind schedule for Motherland right now, but only 3 more pieces left! I've been waiting for some new dresses and production got delayed for those, so please be patient with me. Thank you all.
i really like this! the glow from the candle subtly showing on parts of her is really well done, very good detail! i maybe would of used a different background to make her pop more but of course that entirely up to the artist. Is this a photo manipulation? or is something you did a shoot for? regardless, again i think it's very well done. Everything flows from her wardrobe to her make up, the shadows are where they should be. And that glow! I can't get over that glow! lol love it and its different then other photos I've seen
This is beautiful! I love the lighting, the colors, and the pose. They're all quite fantastic. I also adore the little touches like the petals in her hair and the candle in hair not to mention the exquisite clothing, feather, and jewels. It all makes this all the more fantastic. If I were to critique anything I would simply say it were a little too immersed in green. I would have loved to see some other colors in this piece, and yet I'm not sure if that would have detracted from the overall aim of this piece or not. At any rate, I think this is absolutely stunning and perfect.
Interesting... The figure she cuts is a very imposing one, and also one strongly suggesting sharp austerity despite the obvious wealth of her couture. I would be very wary of a woman that dressed like this frequently.
I love your work. It's just so beautiful. This is just so dark, powerful and full of grace. Not sure why it brought a poem by Edgar Allen Poe to my head but I think it works well so if you like my suggestion then may I suggest "The Raven Lenore".
I thought the pose seemed to be somewhat saint-like. Then I spotted her halo... hence, my vote goes for "Stoical icon".
Her face especially from her profile point of view is perfect for this shot. Leaving the lighting a bit dark her face really pops out from the picture in a positive way. I also think you did a great job with her hair, with pearls and everything. As details do matter, the picture is better with that dark and distinctive, but not black lipstick and jewellery on her forehead.
