We ferried water in containers for 2 hours to fill and drain the kiddy pool because I forgot to get a hose. T__T;;;

Mysteriously beautiful and stunning piece, especially after reading about the time and effort you put into it. You work so hard on your photos and always attempt to try something fun and different. By telling the viewers the process you went through for your photo really lets us know you're a dedicated and passionate photographer.

There is a lot of balance and contrast as well as value in this piece. The faded and dark background really brings forth the foreground. The faded free floating blue tips of the hair that blends into the other light source really creates a unique illusion and feeling.

Even though there are lots of flowers and hair in the photo, the colors are not empowering like the make up on the face. Even though there are blue tips, they remain in the background, faded , whereas the rest (front) is a color similar to the face. It gives the sense of background and foreground play. There is little to no distractions to the main focus, despite all the other possible subjects in the photo. In result, the face will remain the center of attention. Self-portrait indeed <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

If it weren't for the fact that you mentioned that it's water shoot, I wouldn't have known. That can be a good thing. It create an illusion that seems surreal.

What I personally have an issue with is the sharpness of the photo. I think it's a tad bit too strong and makes the photo look a little too flat. Either way, magnificent work.
