The fallen angel rises...

-

Model: Pauline
Photography/direction/styling: Zhang Jingna

Image collected in my photobook: Something Beautiful.

Follow me on Facebook and Twitter!

I designed and sewed the dress, it was shot before and not inspired by 300 the movie.
There were some 20meters or so of chiffon and tulle, many hours of sewing, unpicking, resewing involved.
Hope you enjoy. <3

*edit*
Yes, I am aware that Forever Slave ripped this image. I'd already sent a cease and desist but I haven't gone further with the legal proceedings because I just don't have time and money and energy to deal with this right now. I promise I will one day.

I'll try to give you a fresh take, but there are a lot of comments and critiques.

First minor problems, the model looks a bit bloated, however this is what she's wearing and the way she's posed. Unlike some, I find the almost blurred aspect of the piece elegant and charming, it give's it a softness and the model's hair is very capturing.

She really looks like a fallen angel, and the white material floating around her adds to the illusion of falling.

Overall the piece is quite good, and the feeling that it gives is very powerful and stunning.

the camera should have been a better model, using the single lens reflex at a faster speed would have focused on the subject giving it a much sharper image, I find the image stunning but it lacks power.
I have to say it works, but the alingment of the hair and her other hand holding her stomache making her look inflated.

someone that you should re-search into is brassai and vermeer both photographer and painter give you the feeling of passion and lust where you need to learn from.

I also want to add that the contrast works well

as for the marking i give it 6/10

Magnificent! I would like your permission to (try) draw from this photo. It is very likely I will not match the beauty and energy depicted but I want to give it a try. Thanks. Humberto
